    Description

Beautifully preserved quack medical device sold by J.H. Bunnell & Company, 20 Park Place, New York. Used to practice Electropathic Medicine in the early 1900s. This is the Number 4 D.D. Home Medical Apparatus. Two compartments: the top one for the accessories and the bottom contained the battery holder and electrical controls. Beautiful honey colored finish was restored using several coats of MinWax Satin varnish and hand polished to a soft luster with 0000 steel wool and paste wax. Metal hardware was cleaned and polished. Box is constructed of 3/8" thick solid oak and sides were assembled using a splined meter joint for strength and appearance. Box measures 8 3/4" long x 5 1/4 deep x 4 1/2" tall. New green felt covers the bottom. Some accessories and don't know if it works, but should make
    a great conversation piece.
