    Description

Çiftelia is a typical Albanian instrument. These ones are built of maple wood and have an elongated shape.
There are only two strings from which it got the name "Couple" and "Strings" i.e. two pairs of wires (Cift - Teli). The bottom wire is mostly used. The strings are often tuned in E and B.
It is usually used at weddings or even in concerts for folk music. The cifteli is usually made of walnut wood and cherry wood.
It is made up of the following parts: the head (otherwise called the dome) which is hollow inside, the neck where the notes are separated or otherwise called curtains (popular fields), and at the end of the neck are the string clamps. which are two.
The sound in the pair is obtained by strumming the string with the right hand, while the pitch of the sound is determined by the fingers of the left hand (on the lower wire)
