    Description

This auction is for one koa Hilo ukulele.
It doesn't have the traditional Hawaiian heel cap so we know it was made on the mainland.
Probably made in the 20s or 30s. Perhaps made in Southern California as several Hawaiian ukulele makes set up shop there. Judging
by the abundance of inlay this must have been a style 3 or the top of the line when it came to Hilo ukes. It has a great surfing theme decal on the headstock. It's missing one fret on the bottom of the fretboard. The soundboard and sides are free of cracks, but there are 3-4 on the back. Nice sound as is and it will make a wonderful display uke with all that inlay! Or, fix or replace the back and it will be an even more fabulous looking and playing uke.
