Nice snake-oil advertising box from Portland, ME. for Standard Neuralgic Anodyne.  According to the info printed on the box, it appears that this was supposed to cure just about anything that could ail a person.  Measures 7 1/4" long x 6 7/16" wide x 7 1/4" high.  Originally had a slide top which is long gone.  As shown in the photos the top lip of the slide is missing a piece on the right side and the back.  A nice early Maine quack medicine advertising box.
